Snowdon Sunrise hike| VLOG

I'm not really a sunrise person. I need my sleep. I'm much more of a sunset girl. I love watching the warmth of the day slip away, watching yellows turn to pastel pinks, to blues. With that being said, when I do get up to watch the sun rise, I appreciate a show.

In this month's VLOG, Rob and I skip our 8 hours for a hike up the Llanberis trail, Snowdon to catch sunrise. We reached the top of the trail for around 4AM and to my surprise, Rob fell asleep at the summit in the howling wind and rain. We waited patiently and the sun began to creep up. the sky filling blue, then pink and finally exploding into a sea of golden light across Snowdonia National Park.

It's moments like these that make it all worth it. I often find myself wondering why we hike when it's hot, sweaty or we're wet and cold and uncomfortable. The answer is this. To be fully present with the most beautiful moments this planet can offer. To feel small and alone with your thoughts for that split second, nothing else matters.
